The adventure started when our police contacts asked us to investigate industrial unrest at Scrimshaw's Manufactory. Investigation indicates supplies are being held up at the docks, and that the Lost, a rival gang are fomenting the strike, but are being funded by an outside party. The Lost take exception to our meddling, and Shug is forced to brow the head off one of their thugs with his sniper rifle. One other is captured, however our interrogation techniques are lacking, and he is left hanging up with broken fingers and no tongue. We intercept a coin drop off, and capture 2. More failed interrogation, same warning left...... Pattern emerging....

I am Variss, (Spider), alias, the ‘High’ Eunuch. Master of deception, intrigue, guile and fabulous silk robes. Originally from demon invested Tycheros. Sold into slavery at a young age, the young Variss murdered his owner using his preferred method of dispatching, poison. He went on to climb the slippery and often bloody pole of the Tycherossi underworld but later fled for unknown reasons, to the city of Darkvol where he joined up with a new gang to make his mark on the city.
Variss’ plump, perfumed and powdered appearance lulls enemies and the unexpecting into a sense of false security, then he strikes like a spider hunting its prey.
Variss’ contacts supplied us with the information regarding the Lost and the mysterious payments, unfortunately getting rather inebriated in the process. Variss, although an expert in interrogation and persuasion, has recently had some bad luck and been unable to unseal the tight lips of our prisoners. Although one eventually caved and lost his tongue and use of his fingers as a result... death in Darkvol draws unwanted attention.

First, it's Duskvol (or Duskwall, or just 'the Dusk'), not Darkvol. You are: Bournville (aka Shug) - Hound - Scovland Fheargus McLeod - Cutter - Scovland Jax Frey (aka Jakey) - Hound - Scovland Manci (aka Nancy) -Whisper - Dagger Isles Varris (aka 'the Eunuch') - Spider - Tycheros Arquo Clermont - Leech - Akoros (if Cameron turns up) Not forgetting your loyal cohorts: Stev and Drav Grine - basic Thugs and Elite Rovers 2 goats

We did a bit of sleuthing, and managed to capture the wounded sniper. Turns out he is working for a geezer called Blenkissop or something, who wants to ensure the money was delivered. He spills the beans, and it seems that the Skelcallans are behind the strike, targeting the Morodans, who we seem to be working for. We convince Gav, to work for us. A bit of chat with the captain of the Blood Reaper, suggests that the motive is to hold up repairs to his ship , so that the Ebon Tide (Cpt Skelcallan) can get after a rare white leviathan fist. Anyhoo, we repair to the Silver Eel , to try and infiltrate the dockers. Commotion outside, where our captain is making a stirring speech. in the meantime Gav arrives to tell us that he's been warned that there will be another money drop. I hope that's clear, as I missed out some of the complicated bits. Varris was taking notes, so perhaps he could add detail!

We watch the dockers as the captain harangues them- a couple slip away , so we follow them. They report in at an abandoned warehouse, and shortly, a party of 6 thugs set off for the docks . Meanwhile, back at the silver eel, the dockers have repaired to the bar, egged on by Varris , Nancy and Fergus. The marines start moving the goods. The Lost decide to attack the marines, but our well directed fire kills one and wounds another. Fergus charges in and chops them up. 4 killed, 2 captured. We then intercept a new money drop, tipped off by Gav, and capture one of the middlemen. He confirms rhat Bushmore is the source of the funds, . So we bag him outside his club and put the frighteners on him. Turns out the instigator is Lady Lucinda Skelcallan. Everything sorted out nicely. medals all round!

We're back! With a plot even more complicated than the last. It involves a protection racket. Plus someone has stolen exam papers. Our gang has moved premises to a new hideout, so much of the session was involved in securing these and making sure we have alternative exits. The evening was notable for Ken's impression of the Artful Dodger/ Flash 'Arry. This did not contribute to our understanding of the plot.......

Much time was taken by last weeks missing members trying to track down our whereabouts, as we forgot to tell them we were moving. Apparently. Varsi (Dave) managed to make contact with the exam fraudsters, and we have tracked the salesman to his lair. The stationer lady is flogging illegal ink to the red sashes- Alex and I tracked her to a dead letter drop, and followed the pickup, who escaped in a magic powered boat.

We evolved a a plan to start a turf war between the Dark Docents (student gang) and the Red Sashes. This required us to kidnap one of the students. In the end we had to kidnap 3 of them- who turned out to be the gang leaders. One of them squealed and mentioned the word "ransom". So we wrote notes to their parents, and then , miraculously, the plan worked. There's a new string to our bow! We were also able to lean on the shopkeepers, since we have got rid of one of the 2 gangs who were plagueing them. Now they have got us, mind you, but we're cheeper..... Just the Red Sashes to deter, and then we are good.

Red sashes not as smart as they think. They turn up to do some collecting, and we capture them. One of them was dead, mind you. Using our persuasion techniques, we find out where they are visiting later, and do their collecting for them. To add insult to injury, we ambush their boat home, using grenades, and sink it, getting rid of another 6! Finally we trade the prisoners (minus some knuckles) to the Bloodletters.

In which we meet Arsy Duffel and Joseph and his coat of many collars. Yes , really. They are the leadership of the Bloodletters. Much to-ing and froing trying to set up the prisoner exchange. The party felt that there was a degree of coertion creeping in, so we took elaborate precautions. Part of the agreement with the Bloodletters was to stop the Red Sashes from drug dealing on our patch. A spot of investigating revealed suspicious activity at the pie shop. We huckle one of the waiters, but then another one flees. Fearless Bournville gives chase and shoots him in the leg. He turns out to be the dealer. The date of the Red Sash attack on us is revealed to us.

The Red sashes finally attack, but it all goes wrong for them and we pretty much wipe them out!
