I'm considering starting the Spanish Civil War as a period. Not sure what scale or rules to use but was wondering if anyone else would be interested?
There is various rules out there (both WW2 variants and specific), and decent ranges in 10mm, 15mm, 20mm and 28mm.

Mel and I poked around with this in 20mm years ago- I still have an Anarchist armoured lorry , and of course lots of Italians. Mel probably still has the metals? We did a couple of games using Rapid fire , but with a set of period specific rules. That being said, Bolt Action would probably work pretty well.

I swapped the republicans some while ago, but still have the Rapid Fire SCW rules. Will send them up with Rebecca if anyone is interested. Bill had the bad guys.

No problem Comrade, will send them up next week when I see her. They are called Rompan el Fuego! and if you like RF they are fine. And yes the nationalist scum are the bad guys.
No Pasaran!

Bolt action would be perfect if you do it in 28s. Although since I've just about finished my Normandy Germans, I'll be focusing on Winter War Soviets next. Although its proving hard to find minis which are suitable, i.e. not winter uniform WW2 Soviets, as the uniform in 1939 is a bit different.

I seen the Parkfield ones, they're not the nicest minis unfortunately. I think I might just settle for the Warlord plastic winter uniform WW2. Cavalry's a problem too, I think I'm just going to get Copplestone Bolshevik cavalry that I can use for my Bolos and the Winter War stuff.

Copplestone are probably the best match. I might go for the Finns from Parkside- most of the Warlord stuff is Continuation War

You will need to get some Finnish tanks for What a Tanker! (I know that just means Soviet tanks but still!)
I now have two Japanese tanks! And a Somua 35

Ok, I am tempted to try this as an experiment. What about getting one unit of Copplestone Bolshevik infantry in greatcoats, and one unit of 'elite' Bolshevik infantry (in budenovka) and switch the heads? A little bit of putty should do the trick. Also means adding to my Bolsheviks so win-win! But I think my next tank edition might just be a little mental... even by my standards, it is linked to winter war Soviets.

T35? I will probably go for a T28, but to be honest, the Finns don't really need tanks
