Or use some of your ancient/medieval figs. There's a knights list, you could use empire or crusader figs for it bob.

This is mainly for Ken. I read through the rules again and they are dead easy, so let's run Warlords next Sunday.
I have a 1000pt Undead (which can easily stretch to 1200pts) ready to go.
Depending on how quick the game is, I can bring some dwarves or something as a back-up second game.

Got the rules now, I'll try to have a read before Sunday.
I'll bring along my undead and if I can get to my storage container I'll be able to grab a carrion beast and rider 😊
Stupid question but is there a club rule about non painted figures being frowned upon for game play? I could pull together a larger army if unpainted?
Also I can bring some sweet fantasy buildings from the Battlesystems fantasy village or citadel sets 😊

We managed 2 games Anton (forces of Hades) versus Ken's Lizard Men, and my Hobbits vs Tom's Undead. Ken won, by nicking the artifact and routing Hades himself. The hobbits won their second game in a row, beating the undead- including killing the necromancer with a magic pie rocket.... Man of the match for me could be any one of- the slingers who beat off a skeletal chariot, Mystic Meg and her "Aura of Timidity", the crowd of urchins who drove the undead into a corner, or the light bolt shooter which demolished a chariot, and killed the necromancer.
For statistics Hobbits 2 wins Lizards, 1 win Hades and undead nil

Really enjoyed the game, great learning experience, don't let hobbits in your hedges ! I think we might have played the melee roles wrong, units take a pin for each figure lost in combat, which was probably why those slingers fought off the chariot Also I don't think the slingers can move and fire. Saying that my major learnings from the game were to definitely go through the rules again and sort out a quick reference for special rules, chariots, units and spells. Anton made a really good point that building your army on paper is crucial and when I pick up some skeleton chariots they will definitely come armed with bows and scythed wheels. Definitely agree with Bob on the power of Aura of Timidity, I wonder though if a Necromancer had a skeleton guard and had Wake the Dead if he could refill his body guard as they got depleted? ... and OMG I really want to try a skeleton stone thrower with the undead ammo that lets you add D3 pins! Can't wait to play again (with a much better organised army haha) Photos to come shortly

Yes, slingers can move and shoot- but if they do, they only get one shot instead of 2. Handguns can't move and shoot The slingers vs the chariot only took one casualty- hence one pin. I suspect they don't get exchange of missiles though- I think that is spears and rocks, not bows and slings.
