2 excellent games, all with early war tanks: Game 1 Ken PzII, Dave PzJg 1, Bob, BT5, Me A13 Dave was last man standing, with 2 kills Game 2 Same German line up vs Brian R35, and my A13. In this case both Allied tanks survived unscathed, with the A13 picking up 2 kills (although Brian did the legwork on the R35! mainly due to me having brought rubber 2pdr ammo)

Bob also got a kill against Ken's PnzII in the first game.
We weren't counting these as tournament games as it would be better until more participants are present.

What A Tanker, Sun 30th Oct Looking at the above, it's a year since we have played! If everyone could bring their tanks. I have a set of rules, plus some printed dashboards and one set of cards. I know Brian has a set of "peripherals" as well. we should have quite a wide selection of vehicles for all sides

We managed 2 games today- set in 1944. Game 1 . Sam- Sherman,Bob T34 76 M1941, Don Archer, vs Brian PzIII, Alex PzIV, Alan Marder III There were some amazing survival stories- Alex's PzIV took to 17pdr shots in the side , and drove away (slowly), fnally being destroyed by Sam's Sherman. Bob Killed Brian (aka Lucky) in his PzIII. The Archer survived a 10 dice strike from Alan's Marder (!).
Game 2- 3 Shermans (Don, Alex and Alan) vs Blue in the Marder, Bob in the PzIV and Brian in the PzIII. This was a whirlwind action, where much came down to luck. Blue got a bit keen with the Marder, and was picked off by Alan , Bob Played cat and mouse on his favourite hill, and there was the sight of Brian's PzIII running away from my Sherman. Unsuccessfully in the end , as a 75mm round finally found it's mark .

Here is a list of known kills so far:
1940- Bob PzII 1, Alex A13 1, Don A13 1 1944- Bob T34/76 1, Alan Sherman 1, Sam Sherman 1, Don Sherman 1
If we can manage to keep scores, then we can use the cards and also progress to better tanks.

Just a reminder that Next Sunday 30th July is a rehearsal for our What a Tanker game at Claymore, the following Saturday (5th August). The theme is Normandy, so if everyone can bring their tanks, that would be great

Absolutely hilarious game: Alan Pz IV J KOed Brian R's Sherman after a long series of exchanged shots and running about, He then Killed Bob's Archer at close range from the rear. Bob had earlier KOed Ken's Marder III. My Churchill IV survived unscathed (having only taken temporary damage due to it's thick hide!), despite a long duel with Ken, a series of Neutral turns behind the farmhouse, and eventually managing to damage Brian H's Stug III.

first game of 2024- trial of the early war in the desert. British, (myself and Bob), with an A9, A10 and an A13 Germans (Alex (PzIIC),Brian , Pz IV D, and Ken, Panzerjager 1
It was a long game, with thin armour and weak guns, The PzJg eventually killed the A13, but was destroyed by the A10. The PzII was chased down by the A9, eventually, after a stiff bollocking for the gunner who couldn't hit a barn door. The PzIV died under a hail of 2pdr shot, in the end.
