Also kinda desperate to start adding the radio antennas between cockpits and tail fins with some string.

Glad it is a good hobby accompaniment for building your BRS forces Tom. I always listen to a podcast of some sort when painting and building stuff. I'm off to Common Ground in Stirling tomorrow for a huge Black Powder extravaganza. I'll try to remember to take some pics.

Was down in Worcester this past weekend and took the kids to Crombe Court where they have a Meteor WD686. Was very intrigued to find out Britain had jet capability before end of WW2 although it does not seem to have been deployed to full extent for fear of it falling into German hands. Seems that they were used to hunt down V1s, defend airfields and eventually make ground attacks. Looks like they got bit more use by New Zealand during Korean War. Would love to try out a what if WW2 British jets vs German jets scenario.

Turned out to be an RAF training session- Spits vs Spits- Brian beat Alex by 1 boom chit Spits vs Mosquito (with an ace pilot) The Mossie won easily, but we kept going to see if the Spits could land a blow, but it was not to be.... Both were equal points games
