So I ended up with two miniatures of a Chindit character holding a samurai sword. It is George Cairns who, "During the attack was attacked by a Japanese officer who with his sword hacked off the lieutenant's left arm. Cairns killed the officer and retrieved the fallen sword before wounding several other Japanese. He subsequently collapsed and perished the following day. Calvert wrote, "in front I saw Lieut. Cairns have his harm hacked off by a Jap, whom he shot. He picked up the sword and carried on." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Albert_CairnsI needed an LMG for a Chindit squad so I took a Bren gun from a carrier, some arms from a US marine (they look pretty beefy so help to support the semi ridiculous shooting pose) and green stuffed a hat on, added a US marine satchel to the back and stuck some Japanese LMG support legs on bottom of the Bren. Anyone else done some funky conversions recently? Attachments:

That is a cracking conversion Tom. Leaning back a bit as the bren is firing. Looking forward to seeing it painted. My conversions tend to be quite minor and not a cool as that.
