Hey all, I travelled down to Worcester to see my folks for new years and came across my collection of 1:2400 Napoleonic ships. I've started to repaint them as teenage Tom was not too clued up on paint schemes at the time and the internet these days has so much more available (managed to look up British signal flags for "Enemy sighted" "Engage enemy". I've got a copy of Osprey's Fighting Sales which seems a 100 times easier to understand than Form Line of Battle. Just wondering is anyone else is interested in Napoleonic Naval wargaming and if everyone else is just playing Black Seas. Also does anyone have an ocean playmat, gaming at tiny, tiny 1:2400 scale means it doesn't need to be too big? Attachments:

While I haven't played much myself, I know Don has quite a bit for Black Seas that we have used in the past. There is a simple blue cloth in the club cupboard for 6' by 4' that has always been around that should work for games.

I know Bob and Brian have some 1/2400 Napoleonic ships. I have some US Langton ships We have played Trafalgar before and a couple of games of the osprey rules, they are fun and easy to play. Think Bob has some french and Spanish and Brian has RN.

Amazing, sounds like 2022 could be a good year for some hijinks on the high seas

No worries I think I have enough ships at 1:2400 scale to do a British and French force. Would still love to try out the Osprey Fighting Sails rules one Sunday using the 1:1200 ships if people are interested.

What fleets do people have for black seas, I imagine there will be a few RN players. How about the franco Spanish fleets!
