Based on an idea Tom had, we are suggesting a light BA tournament, to run over the rest of the year:- As usual 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. The score is divided by 4, or the number of games played if that is greater. You can't count scores against the same player more than twice. The 2 highest scorers play a decider in December. The format would be 750 point armies, chosen from any list that is valid for July to December 1943 . The final would be played with 1000 point forces. You must stick with the same list choice, but the force can be altered between games. Scenario 1 is suggested for consistency- but that is open to debate. Games can be played anywhere, provided that 3 people are available- 2 players and an umpire- that way we can fit George in. Cam has alluded to printing out medals for the winners

I'm up for this. Be good to have as many in the club take part as possible. 750 points should make it easy to finish a game.

Good idea, I’m in. I like the scenario you showed me Don of taking objectives, one in your quarter, one in your opponent’s quarter and one in centre. If scouts, FO and snipers can deploy up to mid way across table then it might be worth having and exclusion area 12” around centre objective? Also worth having a random terrain generation mechanism and having it exclude hard cover from player quarters?

The trouble with random terrain is that it's truly that, and can easily end up unbalanced or unrealistic. I'm in favour of the umpire setting up balanced terrain, and the players rolling for choice of table edge. I've seen a suggestion that 33% of the table should be terrain of one sort or another. Given that the bulk of the Tournament armies will be "European", most hard cover will be walls or ruins. So far we have at least 4 players- Don, Tom, Alex, and Cam. Most likely George as well.
