Yep, we are coming up for HOTT, the Drow are feeding the Goblins magic mushrooms washed down with Buckie to get them in the mood.

Mushrooms. That's what my gnome magicians use to sit on. Well, toadstools actually...

An extremely varied set of armies- Flash Gordon Ming the Merciless Fire Imps Desert Rats Goblins Dwarves Red Martians Penguins Leonardo da Vinci Italians
Several of us managed 4 games, and there were some epic struggles. The clash between Flash Gordon and John Carter was a classic. Also the horror of a Heliumite airboat being downed by a goblin horde. There was also an epic struggle between desert rats and Ming's rocket ships. Top performers were the Red Martians and Leonardo, both unbeaten. Conversely, the Fire Imps continue to defy Ken's predictions and expectations, and failed to win at all.

Really enjoyed it once I got over the armies on show(It's Fantasy Jim but not as we know it), but a shooter is a shooter whether flinging stones or armed with a rifle. Some things I learned, always have a hero, behemoths take some shifting, flyers are a waste of points but airboats look useful. Already planing a VSF army for the next time.

Flyers are a bit weak on their own, but in combination with ground troops they can turn a game. I think the answer to behemoths is probably a magician!

Just found "Gordon's Alive" Hawkmen, might reconsider flyers.
